Real estate law has changed considerably over recent years. Today, real estate attorneys spend more of their time protecting clients from the perils and penalties of not meeting disclosure requirements, protecting clients in equity-sharing situations with co-tenancy agreements, and representing clients in real estate litigation (more in California than in any other State).
The attorneys in our real-estate law division provide an unusually broad spectrum of services. We assist clients in establishing general and limited partnerships, corporations, joint ventures, and other real estate business entities. We advise them on issues relative to development, acquisition, leasing, business and residential properties, single-family ownership properties, condominiums, and cooperatives. And we represent them in litigation regarding mechanics' liens, environmental claims, construction disputes, and other contentious real estate matters.
