DOUGLAS BRUST Doug practices in the area of general civil litigation emphasizing in all aspects of insurance tort litigation. Also included in this area is construction related litigation, insurance bad faith, insurance fraud and coverage. He also has experience in criminal law and family law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science at the University of California Los Angeles, and his Law Degree at the University of San Diego. He is admitted to practice in California state Courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of the State of California. Doug is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and has an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Diego and North County Superior Courts, and San Diego Small Claims Court. He was a monitoring attorney for the Pacific Claims Executives Association and holds memberships in the San Diego and North County Bar Associations, San Diego Superior Court Arbitration Panel. Doug has lectured for insurance organizations such as the San Diego Insurance Adjusters Association and published articles on insurance related issues. He has been a guest lecturer on insurance related topics for various insurance companies as part of their continuing education programs. He has served as the past president of the University of san Diego Law School Alumni Association. Doug has taught law and procedure at Cabrillo Pacific College of Law (now National University) and has been a guest lecturer at other area law schools.
